Things I do as I move forward in life

Moving Forward in Life

Things worth remembering in life as you are nearing 30

Late 20's view in life in moving forward.

As a person nearing my 30's, there are many things in life that I wished I knew when I am still much younger. It is not to say, that I or the people nearing 30's have regrets about life- though I have some. It is just a realization as we grow much older and wiser. As some may say, "you can only understand life backwards, but you must live life moving forward".

Today, I can say that I have wasted a lot of years in my life. It was also the same reason why I am, what I am and writing this blog today. Many may tend to disagree but trials, pain and suffering would change a person to become a better version of themselves. I have felt the pits of darkness and pain, It is a burden and experience that I have carried. It is something that I don't want anyone to experience and It is something that I want everyone to avoid. Don't ever risk losing yourself!

Here are some things worth remembering:

  1. Have a mentor- As you grow older, your priorities tend to grow. There are many aspects of your life you tend to ignore, not realizing it is much important as the others. We can never be an expert in every field, even though some of us tried. Learn from the experts and grab the opportunity as much as you can to learn from them.
  2. Learn everyday- Always try to learn new things. As you grow older, there are many aspects of your life you need to learn and understand. Never stop learning because it never stopped when you graduated from college. Always remind yourself to be equipped with knowledge.
  3. Know yourself- As things change every day, so are you. If you don’t know yourself, you can be drifted away like a wood, not knowing where you stand. The years wasted in my life are the chances that I haven’t got peace with myself. Knowing yourself early in your life makes you much wiser. Those people who have many regrets are people who often don’t know themselves.
  4. Seize Opportunities- Don’t wait for an opportunity. Create and seize it with confidence. Opportunities always knock and if you don’t know how to handle it, it may pass by without you even knowing it. Remember, every day is an opportunity given. Use it well!
  5. Learn to Let Go- Most of us don't realize that the only way to recover is to let go and forgive. Don't be hard on your mistakes or on the world. Everything has a purpose and you will see the reasons as time pass by. It may be hard and hurting today but it will pass, just learn to forgive and accept. Answers will be delivered in its perfect time.
  6. Take Care of Relationships- Not all people are meant to stay in your life. Some are just passing by, to teach, to hurt and to help you grow. Make sure that the one’s that are meant to stay are nurtured and growing up with you. Make an effort to let them know that they are important. Treat them well!
  7. Live Everyday- Everyday is a blessing. Make sure that you always live your life. Growing up is not easy, but it doesn’t mean you have to sulk away and beat yourself to death, just by trying to live. Make things simple and enjoy your life. Have a breather!
Move forward with life and be optimistic. Don’t ever lose yourself and be stuck because life is the greatest miracle, anyone can give you. It is a blessing and a curse, if you don’t know how to be prepared

As I move forward with life, I hope you also do it.

Sweets and Suffering- Hand by hand- Tips to Overcome Difficulties

Hungry Taz...
Sweets are a true pleasure and a fun time for me. It keeps my energy boosted and my moods to be happy... I guess it is safe to say that there is something about it that that makes me smile.

I can recall great  memories about cupcakes and sweets, when I was much younger than I am now. These energy boosters help me to go on and on in some routine tasks that I had at our house.
Cleaning, polishing and other tasks at home was boring before but i got through it because of the sweets and rewards... When I was much younger, I thought I am being punished and it is a suffering, but now it is much different on how I perceive sweet rewards and suffering.

Now, I believe that suffering can only be possible if you let them to be, and sweet rewards are just things that you enjoy for a time. If people would ask me about my suffering, the lists would go on and on, while for rewards I can only think of a few. Maybe that is why they say that pain is a pleasure you just didn't get along.

I don't know why I can't remember so many things about rewards. Maybe the reason of it is because, I have taken for granted the small rewards in my life. Sometimes, rewards became meaningless, if it was being taken for granted-- It is the same for suffering, it can be no longer a suffering once, one got used to it.

For this reasons, I want to share some tips to overcome suffering or difficulties in life.

1. You are not defeated, though it may be you think you are
2. By the help of God you can overcome difficulties and live a vital and victorious life. Never settle for less. When the full strength potential within you is mustered, you have sufficient power to deal with any difficulty.
3. Think Big, and powerful forces are released
4. Believe Big; faith and effort generate dynamic creative power
5. Pray Big; God will grant big things if you ask for them and are big enough to receive them.
6. Act Big; only the biggest plans are easy.

Boxing is Fun- A tip to beat the blues

Who say's working out must be tiring and boring??? My way of having fun is through, Boxing my way out on stress. It's simply enjoyable and energizing, once your body gets in tuned with all the jab and punches that you can throw.

I just started again to enroll at Energy Revive beside Pure Gold, San Pablo City and I can feel my old self regaining my health and positivism in life. It is one of my medications to beat the blues away. I box 3- 4 times a week and I spent 3 hours a day at the gym-- I make sure all will be worth it.

I love doing their program because I really sweat and I can take many rounds on heavy bags, enbowl, mitts and other boxing equipments. Instructors are very nice and supportive-- because of it I am finally throwing good punches and jabs. I really recommend boxing because all of your lower and upper body parts are working. Stamina is very vital and I can feel myself having more every time I go out for another session.

Here are some tips to take the blues away just as I found boxing, writing, drinking coffee and hanging out with friends my way to stay a tuned with myself.

Self Control is my part of Gambling for Fun

I had my own share of experiences where I found gambling a new way to have some fun and excitement. It is not everyday that I play this kind of game but my heart pounds with excitement while playing different kinds of gambling game.

I can be usually seen playing gambling at the PAGCOR Tagaytay, Resorts World Casino or at the St. Joseph Compound. I have a set of friends where we find gambling for fun and sometimes a source of income to have our wallets supplied with money.

There are few games that I play: Baccarat, Pontoon, Sic-Bo, Casino Wars, Tong- its and In- Between. I find Pontoon and Baccarat the most enjoyable of all. Luck, patterns and cleverness while playing this kind of games is the most vital essentials. You must never underestimate or over estimate the cards for chances are you can end up loosing a lot of money.

Most of the time I gamble, I only call it quits. I seldom loose a lot of money but I have an experience where I loose an amount as much as Php 10,000 (I'm just a small player at gambling) . It was a bad experience and as I recall it was the end of the habit of betting large amounts. I now only play Php1,000- 2,000 and don't go any further with that amount for self control is taking over me.

WARNING: Gambling can be addicting

Self Control is the thing that one can learn from gambling. One must know when to stop so you won't loose to much in playing. In my own terms of self control in gambling, I do have one but in other things relating to self control I find myself loosing myself. I don't have much of it in my system.... It is a habit that I want to learn more. It is something one must practice in areas where you find yourself tempted.

As I understand my self control, I sometimes seek where I lack and where I excel. My self control often arise when I feel too much excitement and too much tiredness. It is an extreme of everything. It is something one must practice and balance. It is either you eliminate that kind of habit you can't control or you practice yourself with it.

One must know what kind of self- control they have in different situations. Experience and events can teach a lot of things to know what kind of control you have. Always believe that you have one and you can manage yourself in every situation because part of self- control is loosing fun and having fun. Just remember that self control is not just by not loosing yourself it is sometimes define as knowing your self more of how in control you can be in every situation.

As I believe, Always have fun because part of living is loosing your self but having control over it.

A Mind for Excellence

As I watch and stare at my computer, memories of what happened before came through me. I am indeed living in a world where not much is expressed and felt. For years, my depression struck me so hard that I no longer know how to live on. I tried many simple things and ways to make me whole, but at some point, I had failed over and over again.

I lost myself so many times, that I no longer know what I am living for. I had lost interest in life and in many things that one would enjoy, before everything happened. My relation ties with friends, families and relatives whither. It is something, I wouldn't wish to anyone. I started gaining weight and as time pass by, my attention span is no longer like before. I no longer see myself doing so many things.

My blog entry is all about transforming myself and letting go to the higher power within me.

First, I want to share the books I read which transformed me at peace- Living the Truth and The Four Agreements. These are my self help books that changed my perception after some time. It gave me a grasp of my own reality to live on again and to who I really am all these years.

Secondly, my old habit of drinking too much died when I got my depression. It was the rule that I have to avoid that is why coffee (my ally) had been one of the most addicting things I enjoy. Besides coffee, I'm now developing a new habit, and I called  it excellence. As I see it, Excellence must be a passion- a key to the ultimate things that you want to sustain and achieve. A key to the higher person inside of ourselves, A key to the natural things that one can master, and it is the striving force to be the best that we can be.

Lastly, I want to share some points of The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz.

The Four Agreements:
                                        ·         Be Impeccable with your word
                                        ·         Don’t take anything personally
                                        ·         Don’t make assumptions
                                        ·         Always do your best

I had been striving all this time for the new insights and experience that I am encountering everyday. I am living my life with each blessing and it is an eye opener experience, one could get. For me, living one step at a time and reaching your dreams to the farthest possible you can imagine, makes me closer to where I want to be and where I would be.

"TAKING ONE STEP AT A TIME & KEEP MOVING FORWARD EVERYDAY"

REMEMBER: Have Passion for Excellence

My Coffee History

There are many ways to have that space and time that you needed. Often, we don't have them everyday because of the many things that goes in our heads. Sometimes it turns out to be a simple laugh or cry that would dry all your tears or stress away. I have been in down turn and return over the past years but it was the most memorable time of my life. It was the space and time I needed to find myself all over again and coffee have been my ally and friend.

My coffee history is no different from others but what made it special is the way I use to drink it and the way I share my time with people. Coffee as it is have been an ally for me every morning. It refresh my senses and it helps me to be energized and awake all day. I usually love to drink it alone but given a chance that a friend would invite me for a cup of coffee, my heart pounds with excitement for I love how I connect with people with one of my favorite drinks.

Connecting my coffee experience with my life is the reason why I wanted to share my coffee history. Coffee, as I take it every morning would be usually black. I love it to be bitter (sometimes sweet) and a little bit hot--- I want it plain and straight. I want to surprise myself sometimes on how hot it could be that it burns my tongue that I almost forget what time it is--- I often forget the world and start to have my own time and space. Coffee and life for me is to be simple, plain and as it boils down to the core it shows its true color and taste.

THATS HOW LIFE IS TO ME!

A New Way To Barter Great Products

Bartering goods and services has been around for so long. I can still remember my 3rd grade history class teacher mentioning to the class that bartering is once identified as a means of getting goods and services. It became the livelihood of early people because there are no currencies before for payments. My teacher even said to the class that bartering originated in china. They are traveling around the globe to offer their exquisite products and in return they get spices and other products to neighboring countries. Value of a product is not yet a determinant factor. I can only conclude that it could have been such a hard time for other people bartering their best goods for unprofitable products that they still need. I can imagine them, feeling tricked and cheated for getting an amount not sufficed to the product that they bartered.

Nowadays, bartering is not so popular as they used to be in ancient times. Though it is being practiced by some people, many haven't got an idea how advantage and good it still can be. Bartering or exchanging of goods and service can be an advantage to people who collects things or who find themselves having good products but no use to it at all. People who are interested to get their hands at your products or services can have it exchanged for reasonable items that they can offer in exchange. I see this as a win- win situation because one goods or products can be so valuable to other that you might find their items on the same level of value.

In this world of technology, services and goods come by so fast. Sometimes we don't have any ideas how to dispose items or turn it to more meaningful value. We often sell it to a lower price because we felt it is the best way to get rid of it. What most of us haven't consider is to try to be more creative in getting the value of the products that you have. BARTERING is the new way to do it. It is a great way to put value on what you have...

I have seen this new great site called MyFreeTradeZone, where you can barter your goods with other people. I believe that this can revolutionize the things that you have at home or business. They have range of categories where you can put your products and services. They have no fees and their site is very simple to use.

Think of the great opportunities putting all your stocked items in this site and suddenly someone likes to barter one of the items that you have listed. The value you can get in the exchange transaction is limitless...

I'm surely looking forward many would consider great opportunites in bartering and I hope many people consider this option instead of giving less value to the products or goods that they have.
